Southern Savers Couponing Seminar

Just have to say that the couponing seminar was very informative. The lady who runs the site(jenny) was very nice and polite. Think I might try the CVS game after hearing her talk about it. I need to unload some BBQ sauce...think we are gonna take it to the church for the food banks. Supposed to go shopping with a buddy tomorrow night. Will post our totals then.

Today was a busy day but I managed to sneak in some shopping. Went to Bi-Lo and bought the following:
9 Mentos Gum
4 X-14 Mildew Remover
6 X-14 Shower Cleaner
10 20ct Dixie Plates
5 160ct Dixie Napkins
1 Gallon Milk

Total Before Coupons...$91.52
Total Savings.................$92.43
Total Before Tax................-.91 thats negative .91,lol.
Total After Tax................$2.39

How I did it...
Mentos were B1G1 @ 1.35 used -1 off coupon on each
X14 were B1G1 @2.05-2.82 used -1 off coupon on each
Plates were B1G1 @ 3.65 used -.50 off coupon on each
Napkins were each @ 3.12 used buy 2 plates get package of napkins free coupon
Milk was @ 3.69 used 6 milk tokens got it for free
Also used two -3 off coupons I recieved from previous trips.

I think I have the register programming figured out. If it is a linear program like I think it is using this method should work everytime and ensure that your coupons double the way they should.

When buying an item that you expect to recieve overage on always put them on the counter last. That is have the clerk ring them up last. Give the coupons expecting overage on first and then give your card at the end. This way when your coupons go in there is plenty of "total" for the machine to use the overage on. Has worked fine for me the last 2 times I have done it this way. Good luck and remember...if yuo want to buy it...they have a coupon for that!!!
